Access thresholds for Southeast Asian municipal projects keep rising. Tender evaluators no longer focus merely on product pricing. Comprehensive requirements apply to regulatory certifications, system integration solutions, local support services and long-term operation capabilities. The extensive low-cost OEM export model is no longer viable. Enterprises need to abandon the mindset that “winning the tender marks the end” and allocate resources from a long-term perspective of “establishing local presence as the starting point”.
In the medium to long term, infrastructure development and smart city deployment across ASEAN countries remain on an upward trajectory. As a foundational component of urban renewal, municipal lighting generates consistent and expandable procurement demand.
