On May 9, 2025, the Shanghai office of the Global Lighting Procurement Federation (GLPF) and the East China Industrial Chain Cooperation Salon were successfully held at the World Trade Center in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The theme of this event is "Empowering Enterprises to Go Global and Expand the Global Market Together", bringing together leading companies in the lighting industry, experts and scholars, as well as upstream and downstream representatives of the industry chain (including the China Lighting Society, Landwans Digital, Halco, Baijiali, etc.) ConNexTube Technology LLC、 Seoul Semiconductor, Schrader Acuity、GEWISS、 Enterprises such as Ailing Electronics are exploring new paths for digital transformation and global development in the lighting industry.
The event kicked off with a speech by Tang Guoqing, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Lighting Society. He highly affirmed the value of GLPF as an international platform focusing on the integration of the global lighting industry chain, pointing out that "resource aggregation, standard leadership, and market expansion" will become the core path for Chinese lighting companies to break through international competition barriers.
Han Min, General Manager of Landwans Digital, further emphasized that the establishment of GLPF marks the strategic upgrade of China's lighting industry from "single point going global" to "ecological synergy". In the future, through the deep linkage between technology and market, it will help enterprises seize the high ground of the global value chain.
Cross border Connection: Targeting North America, Decoding Emerging Market Opportunities
At the 2025 Las Vegas International Lighting Fair, Chen Lei, President of the Global Lighting Procurement Federation (GLPF), and GLPF member companies (including Meister Optoelectronics, Zhuosheng Lighting, Songsheng Power, Maoshuo, Infineon, Wanju Lighting, Huihao Optoelectronics, Lideda, Pan Am, Yixinyue, Jindingsheng, Ningbo Languo, etc.) formed a "Made in China" matrix to showcase the competitiveness of China's lighting industry to the world through technological innovation and ecological synergy. During the exhibition, GLPF achieved a dual line linkage of "booth practice+market decoding" through cross-border online salons. President Chen Lei visited member companies' booths in person and recorded core exhibition area videos for display. He shared real-time insights into the North American market with companies in the East China region, providing members with full chain guidance from technology display to commercial landing.
Unveiling and awarding: Service network expansion, ecological power gathering
Under the joint witness of the attending guests, the GLPF Shanghai office was officially unveiled. As the third largest hub after Hong Kong and Shenzhen, the Shanghai office will radiate the Yangtze River Delta industrial belt and create an integrated service platform of "technology research and development - production and manufacturing - brand going global".

At the meeting, GLPF Executive President Zeng Xiaolan systematically elaborated on the core empowerment platform of the federation:
International procurement docking platform: Through three channels of procurement demand release, online mini programs, and offline docking meetings, precise matching between brand merchants and manufacturers is achieved. And establish service centers in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, and regularly hold procurement matchmaking meetings.
Standard setting service platform: Leading the development of group standards and national enterprise leader standards, guiding members to participate in international standard setting, helping enterprises break through technical barriers, and enhancing international market competitiveness.
International Market Expansion Platform: By organizing international exhibitions such as the US Lighting Exhibition and the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Exhibition, we aim to expand our overseas channels, release market data to support corporate decision-making, and systematically reduce the cost of going global.
Enterprise listing service platform: providing IPO listing guidance, global patent layout, industry university research integration, brand planning and promotion, and other full chain services to accelerate the globalization process of member enterprises.
Zeng Xiaolan emphasized that "expanding the global market together with GLPF" is the direction that the Global Lighting Procurement Federation (GLPF) has been committed to. GLPF integrates three core resources: procurement demand, international standards, and market expansion, builds a direct bridge between Chinese enterprises and global buyers, provides full chain overseas support for members, and enables high-quality lighting products to efficiently connect with the international market.
Digital reconstruction of lighting: technology empowers industrial evolution
Dr. Xu Weigang, CTO of Landwans Digital Technology, conducted an in-depth analysis of the transition of the lighting industry from electrification to intelligence with the title "How to Reconstruct Lighting with Digitalization". He proposed that the era of "Lighting 5.0" has arrived, and through the integration of technologies such as Bluetooth Mesh, AI spatial perception, and the Internet of Things, lighting systems are evolving from a single function to an ecosystem of "human light environment" interaction. Combining benchmark cases such as Jinji Lake Smart Night Light Runway, Dr. Xu demonstrated how digital lighting can achieve precise energy saving, scene customization, and data value-added, and predicted that "spatial intelligence" technology will promote lighting to become the core neuron of smart cities.
Free seminar: jointly drawing a blueprint for global lighting globalization
During the "Empowering Enterprises to Go Global" free seminar, participating companies engaged in heated discussions on topics such as Southeast Asian production capacity layout, North American market access standards, and localization strategies for emerging markets. Moreover, GLPF mentioned that it will collaborate with international exhibitions such as the 2025 US Lighting Exhibition, Guangzhou Guangya Exhibition, Hong Kong Autumn Light Exhibition, and Russia Lighting Exhibition to accelerate the pace of Chinese enterprises' "going global".
